Education and Literacy – Thindigua School

Lack of quality education steals choices from Children. Just like many of us were given an opportunity in life, we can give children opportunity to make a choice for a better career path. Transforming Education Project is focusing on six (6) government schools in Kenya, to enhance education by providing:
1. School Library & IT Centre
Build a school library and equip with desks, book shelves and computers. This will serve as the Knowledge Centre that provide IT computer courses as well as improving basic education reading. The solution will bridge digital divide by providing basic computer knowledge and ensure early reading and writing.
2. Ablution Block
Rehabilitate and build blocks with sanitary equipment’s for girls
Water Storage: Rehabilitate existing water storage tanks and build additional water tanks to harvest
water from the building roof.
3. Hand-Wash Station
Put up a hand washing station for children near the ablution block that provides safe drinking water, improves hygiene and promotes good health outcomes. Encourage Proper waste management and planting of trees.
